This newly designed siren weighs half as much as the Police/Security Bicycle siren. Total weight is 11 ounces. The siren is smaller than the Police/Security siren but produces a very loud, 117db +/- 3db warble sound. The sound is every bit as attention getting as the Police Siren but the sound just doesn't carry quite as far. This siren has been tested on the streets of Klamath Falls, Oregon and it is just as effective as its counter part. This Noisy Cricket siren is identical in design and operation as the Police Bicycle Siren. It comes equipped to operate on a 9 volt battery but can be wired into any 6-15 volt DC battery source. Siren is 2 3/4 inches long and 2" diameter. The siren mounts to the rear bike rack or to any other location of your choosing. Instructions and hardware included. WARNING!
